Emily in France 🇫🇷 Is Self-Isolating... in Paris
Self-isolation, day 4.
Through a rather serpentine, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles-esque journey, I have returned to Paris. (There was a lot of hand-washing) I'm still reporting on the impact of COVID-19 in Paris (particularly on the restaurant world), and I'm also back with 7 more ways you can make isolation less dull.
1. Come up with your favorite movie or television food scene and add it to this Twitter thread. (I think mine is the mac and cheese in It Takes Two... or the bruschetta in Julie and Julia... or the crab Napoleon from Simply Irresistible.)
2. Try some food crafts, kids optional.
3. Read about the renaissance of drive-in movies. (Or wash your hands liberally and go to one?)
4. Read "Olive Stays In" aloud to your kids (and peruse the rest of Storyberries, a fantastic, free, children's story website created by my fantastic friend Jade.
5. Contribute your favorite weird thing your pets have done to this hilarious Twitter thread about working from home.
6. Listen to a book read by one of many Canadian authors sharing their work online.
7. Try an online writing course or challenge from Writerscape.
Stay safe, stay INSIDE, and à bientôt !
